Anyone watch SNL last night?

I really have not watched much SNL over the last few years. I caught the episode with Justin Timberlake last night and I must say I thought it was pretty good. But of course they did have a lot of the old school guys either in a skit or making a cameo in the beginning.

Overall I think the show has improved from when I stopped watching regularly about 7 or 8+ years ago.

JT is always good on SNL. I missed it last night though.

They will never beat the "Cork Soaker" episode with Janet Jackson.

i used to watch SNL religiously, but stopped around 1999 or y2k. i felt like they weren't getting any better, and maybe i grew out of their style. dunno. i just haven't been as excited about them since about then.

I don't think you grew out of it, the show is just not as good as it used to be. Over the years SNL has had its ups and downs. Perhaps one day they will rediscover the magic and timing of another ensemble cast.

I did see some clips of JT on last nights episode. This guy is a real talent. Had I known he was hosting I would have made an effort to see it.

Saw and interview once with Christopher Walken where he was asked what he thought was his most legendary role. He said it has to be Bruce Dickinson because to this day he can't walk through an airport without someone yelling "more cowbell" to him.

I haven't watched it yet but I did DVR it. I think JT is talented and funny. I don't know how to post it from my phone, but there's a video on YouTube with him and Jimmy Fallon called History of Rap. It's about 10 minutes long and is very good. I'm not a rap fan either but I like it

I thought it was an excellent show, very funny, but Justin Timberlake's music is not my 'cup of tea.'........sorry, but I just don't enjoy it very much.

Yes, thought it would be even better.

My wife went with one of her pals to see Martin Short's show on Long Island and he mentioned he had to get going for SNL so I knew something was up.

Looks like Steve Martin and Dan Ackroyd made it back, too!

You picked a good one to watch last night with JT hosting. Maybe the best host ever on SNL, well maybe not best ever....but the best in the 21st century IMO. Wished they would have done "The Barry Gibb talk show" though.

They've had some good episodes lately. If you didn't catch Martin Short hosting, the sketch about the Royal Family Doctor was hilarious.

JT is awesome on SNL. From the digital shorts to his performance last night, I'll give him credit for becoming a very good actor. The 5-timer sketch was hilarious.

I can't stand Jimmy Fallon but those History of Rap videos are pretty good.

I have caught a few more episodes lately but still sporadic. It does seem to be getting better on the whole. Maybe it is time for another crew to get it off the ground again.

Cork soaker is always classic but I love most of the old Christopher Walken sketches like Colonel Angus and The Continental to name a few.

I actually caught it and JT is hilarious. Best way to watch SNL is go the SNL section on Hulu and watch all the best skits there. Then you don't have to suffer through the really terrible skits.

There is only one Gibb brother left... can't really do the talk show with just Jimmy Fallon, even if it was a reunion extravaganza it would have left JT out or made him a ghost or something and that would have been creepy, I was glad they let that skit slide, that family is still really hurting.

Was the best show of the year so far. I was young when SNL started and I think there are probably only a handful of shows I've missed. Even the ones I didn't see live I later watched on VHS, reruns or DVR. Every single year people claim it's not as good as the year before or that it's really passed it's prime, and every year there are new breakout skits or breakout stars or good music. There is always something to watch and something to pay attention to.

I think the biggest deal was Chevy Chase appearing on the show. I think it wasn't his best show but it was pretty good overall
