While it is excellent condition, what's with the Offenhauser valve covers, aftermarket air cleaner with the C3 emblems on it and chrome cover on master cyllinder. I wouldn't be surprised if the odometer was disconnected and the car was just driven.

Nice survivor nonetheless.

Someone else commented about that on the site where I found this story. It was explained that these were simply common mods made back in the days when the car was relatively new. Hard to resist a bit of cheap bling.

I have to agree. Everyone was taking a wrench to things back then. With the proper tools, hmm, the knowledge or daring, or a friend that thought he had the knowledge, you were ready to try anything. No computers need apply!
