Vintage Bracelet codes starting with V
Does anyone know why the charts for bracelet codes in the late 70's early 80's show the possibility of a V as part of the code? For instance I have a 1980 16753 that the charts show the correct bracelet code as E or VE.

All charts are guesses extrapolated from watches that have verified paperwork..
Both codes have been seen for that span, so either could be correct..

A or VA 1976 B or VB 1977 C or VC 1978 D or VD 1979 E or VE 1980 Could it be a certain location the bands were manufactured or identify the manufacturer (if Rolex outsourced them). Just wondering as it seems odd to have more than one bracelet code for these years. |
