if the budget is about 10k, i would go for a 5513 gilt or a 1665 great white.

Something is better than nothing
Any factory-original Rolex diver watch with plexi can never be wrong. However those with sapphire-crystal is all right, for starters. Most important is to get one that is within one's budget first and later on, upgrade.
