Yes I never really got the watch winder thing previously but now having 4 automatic watches it's great being able to pick up your watch and it's telling the wright time and showing the correct date so you can put on whatever watch you want without having to set it. It's really convenient.

Myself cannot think of any unless perhaps you have a watch with many many complications then they could be a convenience.Whats the point in running a movement 24/7 if its not needed to tell the time on the wrist.Today there are many internet myths about you will wear the crown and crown tube out which is complete and utter rubbish. There are millions of manual wind watches in this world today Rolex included with screw down crowns. Now they got wound almost daily for decades without any problems.Crowns and crown tubes are just serviceable items and often get changed as part of normal routine service anyway. And with Rolex auto watches most crown related problems are simply down to the winding crown not being used.My 9 year old great grandson has a manual wind watch that I gave him and he can wind it and reset when needed most every day so its not like its hard to do.And unless you have a watch in a million that keeps 100% perfect time you still have to reset occasionally plus change the date several time a year even on a machine what wrist watches were not designed for.

Thanks very much for the comments on the collection only started in June last year and now I'm totally hooked. Think the next addition will be a speedster broad arrow gmt then a sub date.
