RAF strap source recommendation?

Any recommended source for RAF straps?

I tried one from time factors and thought it was ok (nice and soft, but the edges seem to be fraying). I bought a second anyway but it was too thick for my 14060M and they don't take returns, so I don't want to risk ordering any more.

I see a lot of recommendations around for NATOs, but I really prefer the RAF style. Thanks in advance for any help.

Do NOT use straps that are too thick for your watch! https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=290036

Call the vendors and find out which of the straps they sell are thinner. I've had good and bad luck with every company I've ordered from, so I'd place more importance on the stress the thickness of a strap may cause your springbars than the company you order from.

Maratac makes mil watch straps, not RAF, but sorta same look.....& w/ the exception of their "zulu" strap, the fabric on their other straps are thinner.

+1. I'm not a strap kinda gut but have heard good reviews on the Maratac brand. Good luck.

HoosAir,

I too like the RAF straps and I get mine from Phoenix in Wales on ebay. They make the M.O.D. NATO straps as well.
They work on my 14060 no problems.

Perfect, thanks. Will give Phoenix a shot. I like the Maratac fabric, but don't like the fabric keeper the mil-specs have.

Well, the ebay Phoenix seller only has one first quality RAF strap for sale, the bond style I already have from timefactors. Nothing else available or expected for a while. Maratac doesn't make RAFs.

Any other suggestions?

HoosAir, sadly the Phoenix straps that I carry are all "Nato" design. I just emailed Phoenix Straps, LTD about a new order and they informed me that they only have the RAF style in the "Bond" color. Phoenix has offered me the option of a custom production run. I have never had unique requests on a large scale. If there was a group buy, it can be done. RAF in Admiral Grey would probably be pretty nice?

Interesting, I would love a bunch. I would do grey, red, blue, some striped in diff colors than the bond if they would do it.
