Trusted person to service my Snowflake
Hell all, I have this Snowflake and it needs service. Beside an adjust and oil there are 2 issues
1 The crown only has a 1/2 turn to screw down so I guess the tube is partially stripped. Id like to save the orig Crown. 2 Sometimes it runs just fine BUT on occasion the minute hand doesn't advance. Who in your opinion is the best place to send it to? Thanks [email protected] Thanks in advance! |

Contact Mr. Bob Ridley, he'll get it straightened out.

Send it straight to me. I'll get it fixed up.
Wow what a watch, love the patina. Is it a 7021? Nice shape. Send it to our resident watchmaker Rikki, he has a Rolex parts account. He is a member here, out of Fla. Good luck. |

nice.
i like how your pearl matches the dial. was it like that when you found it? i have a nice snowflake. i would just take it to a really well trained local watchmaker. if i lived in dallas i would use ridley, but a good local watchmaker should get it running quickly and easily. its a movement that is easyto source parts. Rolex service centers have shown to be "not great" at maintaining older crusty and rusty classics like this. |

I highly recommend Chamosa watch in n. dallas, TX over Ridley. He was 1/10 the price to repair my '52 precision. He's a retired watchmaker from the Dallas service center. Sadly and understandably He won't do complex movements like daytonas in his retirement. His basic COA price is only $180 without polish!
Beautiful example of a Tudor! |
