There are two thicknesses available; the thicker ones are for the diving bands.

This is a sport band, and takes the thinner style, as you have discovered. The 2mm figure that Tools mentioned sounds right (I think the others are 2.5mm), and as he also mentioned you don't really need to get them from Rolex...
