Bezel plastic protectors

I have noticed in a few pictures that some of you have bezel protectors on your Rolexs when you have them stored.

When did they start selling them with the watch? Can these be purchased? And do they come in different sizes to fit other watches?

Thanks!

When you say "Bezel protector" I assume you mean the clear plastic disk that goe's over the bezel? if so, they come with all new Rolex watches and are part of the protection along with the clear film stickers around parts of the case and bracelet.

FYI- They were NEVER meant to be worn on the watch after purchase...(just like the the tags, hologram and red COSC tag). I saw someone who tried...I wish I had a camera that day. Toss 'em.

Yeah, my AD tossed it prior to my buying... No need. But, if I knew I'd get 25 USD if I sold on ebay then....

Yeah I remember that thread that you posted. What an dumb.
I certainly wouldn't wear it, I just would like to have it when it's in storage and I think it would be nice to have with the rest of my paper work and boxes, etc.

why the heck you wanna buy one if you ar putting your watch in storage? I mean, watches that sit in boxes in closets or safes do not gather much dust, so why woul you want one?
and you definitely will look wierd having one while you are wearing it so, I don't know .... well a bzel protector looks way better than bubble wrap though!!

If it came with my watch from Rolex than I would like to have it to complete the package it was sent in.

What kind of idiot would wear a Rolex with the protector on the bezel?

The AD is supposed to put it in the box with the ribbons and all attachments so that if you ever sell the watch you have the whole family of collateral Rolexatia. He should not be throwing away the bezel protector. Certain sacrilege.

Mine came with one and I was so eager with the camera that I forgot to take it off!

You can see a '20' imprint in the plastic at 5 o'clock. I don't know what it means.....

I guess your AD can give you a bezel protector if you need one. Usually the have spare ones.

Here are my watches (SS Sub Date + SD flipped) with bezel protectors on.

Btw.: The bezel protectors come in various sizes, also for the Sports Rolex watches:
