Only the movement is discontinued.
they are all going co-axial.

Not sure but as an aside Omega does have a dedicated department for the restoration of vintage watches, so they will service anything, unlike you know who.....

I think it is difficult to separate Bond from Rolex even tho he's worn Omega's for over a decade in movies. Still feels like marketing gimicks rather than a watch used by a spy like the nato band Sub from Goldfinger and Thunderball. That looked like a watch that had seen some real adventure...not a piece of jewelery used as product placement. Which is also the reason I'd prefer to see the character wearing an older scarred sub rather than a newer Rolex. It really gave the early moves a sense of versimillitude.

I had forgotten about the latest fake Bond wearing Brioni, along with his anti bond Omega and non-walther pistol....Bond is Rolex...Walther {or that damn Beretta} and Savile Row. Continental foppery does NOT apply!

So I guess Bond can't change? My taste change all the time.

The NEW Walther is a far superior gun to the old one that was developed 77 years ago.

Yeah, a .380 ACP is hardly appropriate in today's climate, as much as I love the PPK.

James Bond?? Badly scripted, overweighted with gadgets, product placing franchise parading as popular 'culture'. Should have been killed off and forgotten years ago.

Most of the films since Sean Connery are just embarrassingly bad! Now about as 'cool' as a polyester shell suit and just as

Regards

Tim

The TRUE Bond Rolex will always be the Sub, no matter how hard Omega tries to become THE Bond watch with aggressive marketing and product placement strategies. Period!.......(well, that is just my 2 cents. )

Of course Bond can't change.. no more than Hawkeye can change. Ian Fleming and Cooper are gone..One can only refer to the "truth" of the printed page for guidance...and FYI, when Bond switched to the PPK, it was in 7.65MM...32 ACP. not .380.. For MI6 double O operators, bullet placement is the key.....Ergo: Rolex is part of Bond, Doxa is the standard for Dirk Pitt and Cooper's hero used a long rifle, not the carbine the producers of the 1994 movie wanted to employ..(Wiser types prevailed here thank God}..The next Bond film is bound to feature the Blond anti-Bond weating LACE SHOES to go with his other haute couture jim crackeries

Rolex! All other watches are just not 'it'. I opt for the COSC Sub non-date on a NATO strap. But we must not forget the Flemming Bond is all but gone. The heavy smoker and drinker in a diner jacket is a dinosaur. But please give him the Rolex again!
