Can anyone tell me what this is before I PUKE!

PVD Rolex Daytona Chronograph [ via QP Magazine ]

It appears that Bamford & Sons has already created PVD-treated Rolex Submariners and GMT Masters and now they have created an exclusive line of black Rolex Daytona chronographs. I am glad that another company has caught on to the black trend in the watch industry. Rolex came out with a bunch of new and redesigned models this year, but for some reason they missed this. Bamford & Sons has created stainless steel IPods and now you can get your blacked out Rolex even if Rolex does not approve, and this one is $19,500.

With an all silver or meterorite dial w/red would look awesome...I love it.

Hope you never have to send it in for servicing - apparently, Rolex will only service if the watch is changed to its original specs.

I am not that familar with the Daytona as far as dials go, but shouldn't the middle lower dial be 12,3,6,9 not 60,20,40???

The dial that you are mentioning is found at the 16520 daytona whereas the 60,20,40 dial is found in the newer 116520 daytona.

I don't know that I would buy one but I think it's kinda cool. You have to like PVD'd watches. I do so I don't have a problem with it.

Last time we discussed the PVD Rolex watches things got heated up. Those modified watches are not everyones cup of tea, but since all it a matter of personal taste there are actually buyers for them.

I think you got that right in one of the lines in that paragraph. The black trend in the watch industry. Rolex is a classic line they need to stick to their own idea's and not try to follow what other companies are doing in the market. Rolex has their own trends and should stick to them they dont need any help to define the market.

While I wouldn't get one personally, I like them as a change of pace, esp the SD. Some people think that modifying a Porsche is wrong, but people still buy Ruf.
