Dating a 39mm Explorer advice
I am looking to buy a 39mm Explorer from my son's birth year (2011). I am looking for the watch itself to have been made in 2011, even if the papers do not reflect this, i.e. 2012 papers. With the advent of random serials, are bracelet numbers the best way to date the watch itself to 2011?
Many thanks. |

I would say go easy, don't come on too strong and make sure you drop her home afterwards.

As for the serious topic, it's kind of tough with the random serial numbers. If you find one with papers (which shouldn't be hard, 2011 wasn't too long ago.) it might show a date of purchase. But even then it could've been sitting at an AD since 2010. Maybe you can look around for one purchase at the end of 2011? I don't really know how long it takes from date of manufacture to AD displays... Sorry,I couldn't be more of help. Anyway, good luck! |
