Buy Platinum DDII or 2 Wg Rolex's

I know a good problem to have. This time its between my all time grail

DDII with Roman concentric dial

vs.

116619 Wg Smurft & 116509 Wg Daytona Panda.

Buy one or buy 2 Wg Rolex watches. I like all three and will be keeping them long term. Value and pricing aside what would you do in this situation keeping in mind which one will me more timless.

Very interesting dilemma... If it was the Panda, I'd get the PT DD2. Met and Smurf, now that's a different story :-)

Mike i owned the smurf for a very short time and ended up selling it. For some reason it has been calling my name. Im thinking to put the DDII platy on hold for a bit and pick up the WG Daytona Panda and Smurf.

Sohail, if you had a smurf and it wasn't calling your name then... do you really think it'll grow on you this time around?

The panda is a very attractive watch -- in your case, perhaps skip the smurf and use the savings + some more savings and eventually get the Platty DDII.

Hands down the two WG watches. That being said, I absolutely love the smurf and panda WG Daytona, while the platty DDII just doesn't do it for me like the others (although it's an incredible piece for sure). So I guess my answer is somewhat biased...

I would choose the (2) WG pieces, especially if one of them was the 116619 Smurf...it is one of my all-time favorites.

Looks like I'm in the minority but considering your inventory you're not exactly short on outstanding timepieces so the 2 for 1 thing wouldn't trump getting what you refer to as your "all time grail".

Get the PT DD2 and you're likely to be happy for a while but if you pick up the other two you'll still be without the one you really lust for.

I absolutely knew this was coming. I called almost your exact words.

It's funny getting to know people so well in this medium.

Mike, looking so good. Now you need the panda. It will complete everything.

I love that watch. Sometimes more, sometimes less than the smurf.

Love both!!

I've had panda's aplenty but I am missing a RG Rolex from my collection. It's a toss up right now between a RG SkyDweller or RG Ceramic Daytona. Sadly I'd prefer both on RG bracelet rather than straps.

Get the DD2. If the 116509 and 116619 still call you, you can trade in the DD2.
