If DD II with roman concentric dial is your all time grail then go for it instead of getting 2 other WG pieces. In your sub conscious mind you will not be satisfied until you get your all time grail no matter how beautiful the other 2 pieces are.
In addition Tom Bolt aka Watch Guru once said it was better to get one expensive piece rather than having 2-3 less expensive pieces. |

Sohail, I like gold most in YG and RG and so as you have gold covered you should get the platinum, no point settling for 2 sub-grails just get the holiest of holies. |

Because the gold Day-Date II is 18k = 75% gold 25% alloys, Platinum Day-Date II is 95% platinum and 5% alloys, And platinum is harder to work with than gold.

How about the smurf and a WG panda on the strap? That will leave some extra cash to put towards the platty fund or even pick up a SS with the change.

To me that's and easy choice the day-date 2 is amazing and truly unique. I tried it on at the Wynn a few days ago and it's wonderful in person. I am actually considering buying one in the future. The new Daytona would be my second choice.

You're comparing Mercedes Benz S class with Cadillac Escalade pickup truck version and Porsche 911 turbo! You think this is a sane comparison?!
Anyway, I'd say go with the DDII. |
