Just common sense a full manual wind one or twice a week and a regular wash in just plain old soap and water. And if any soap does not harm your skin it will not harm metal. Just rinse well after in clean water and dry with any clean cotton type lint free cloth.Leave all scratches from normal wearing to normal routine service time watch will last a life time.

I would not use dish soap. That soap is formulated to cut grease. You do not want any of that close to your watch.
Hand soap... Yes!

Once or twice a week I'll rinse it, scrub with a soft tooth brush using Dawn dish soap, a good rinse again then spray with Veraet, another scrubbing with the soft toothbrsuh then rinse well, dry with a microfiber and good to go. Sounds like it takes a while but really five minutes does it. A true labor of love.
No Cape Cod or anything abrasive for me. Also all the scrubbing goes with the grain of the metal finish on the bracelet.

I certainly dont baby mine but i do clean it after a hard days of work to get rid of dirt in the bracelet to above stretch. I think a rolex can really go a long time with a bang here and there. These are tool watches not babies. Made by the best steel you can find and by one of the most known watch brands of all time.

Hi,
If it's my Oyster, I wear it in the bath every day and then rinse the bracelet under the cold tap afterwards when I'm done. If it's my Cellini, I give it a wipe all over with a micro-fibre cloth once a week. |
