Reference Material

I am currently considering adding three watches to my collection; a Project X Daytona (I know, I know!!) for my daily wear work watch, a 1974 5513 for those vintage days when I want to be a little different, and an investment Rolex to be presented to my son in the future.

Is anyone aware of any complete reference material on the web or available in book form that will give me a complete list of model numbers and approx. volumes (without spending mega money, I'd like the watch for my son to be something that will increase in value more than mainstream).

Thanks in advance.

Seems pretty straight forward what you're looking for. Since you already know two of those you want it's a matter of just getting them, finding the right seller. The third one is a little more tricky as no one can predict the future or know which Rolex will appreciate faster than others....a sure bet would be a vintage that has already accelerated in value and can only be expected to continue to rise.
I know if you narrow/focus your questions relating to a specific model, TRF is in fact one of the best references out there. Good luck.
