Wow this is quite a bump. To me the Milgauss is more about personal preference as owners of the white dial typically don't go after a GV and vice versa.

That can turn on or turn off future buyers.
Speaking about TOG, I purchased a TT TOG 3yrs ago at a 15% discount. Final price was under $7,700 and it's present value is approx $10,000.

I purchased the TOG because I loved it and to this day still do. I did not purchase as an investment. It's unlikely I would get the full value at this juncture but that immaterial.

I am definitely going to buy a Milgauss however I have read that the white face is not very popular and I do like it .
So the choice is either White or Black with Green. Being a women a would prefer white .

Any help would be appreciated . My other watch is a DateJust Oyster Perpetual
Thank you
I own the GV, but love the white face Milgauss. I bought the GV because I imprinted on it when I first saw it in a magazine. If i could get away with it, I would definitely by the white dial.

I love my black standard crystal Milgauss, but I'm actually going to put it up for sale later this week. It's time for my first white dial!

Does the Milgauss hold it's value on the resell market?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Just so everyone is aware, the "victim" in the linked thread, who wound up receiving a free service & polish from a very generous member here, now has the same watch listed for sale (less than 30 days later) for several hundred dollars greater than he paid. I'm not siding with either party, but I wouldn't be so eager to cast aspersions.

The "Victim" did receive a free service from a "upstanding TRF member" It's standup people like that that make this forum awesome. As far as the OP goes, he had many chances to right the wrong and never did. He was given several chances, none being outrageous, and never did anything about it. Faingator makes a lot of money on this site, and off the TRF members. I would have expected a lot more from someone who wants to continue selling on TRF. I for one will never send a dime to the OP. Those are my aspersions.......

Love my GV.

Wanted the Milgauss for it's clean look.

Saw the GV at the AD and had to have it, gets compliments all the time.

Bullshit.

The watch is listed for $5,600 and I paid $5675. Then tack on the cost of shipping the watch back and forth to California for service plus the cost of parts and a tip for the watchmaker I'm losing a couple hundred on the deal.

The reason for selling is right there in the ad... I simply do not like it. I thought I'd like a bigger watch but I don't. I wear a 16030 with a black dial which suits me just fine. In the future I'll be getting a Day-Date for a dress watch.

Get your facts straight before you shoot your mouth off.

Funny because the GV when it first came out was the one that people were snapping up for $18,000. The whole "Rolex is having a hard time making the green crystal thing." Rare!!

Oooops.

Doesn't have great resale unless your are patient to sell it. Subs and daytona have best resale . I've sold many wages thru my stores or to dealers u usually take a bigger hit on some watches but still a great watch I like it .

bought a brand new while millie for $4300 and sold it for the same price after wearing it for 3 years. Even the white dial retains its value, of course if you're patient.

I bought my First White face Rolex Milgauss one year ago for £2500.00. It was a M serial number with no box or original warranty card. It did however come with a sales receipt from Goldsmiths and a Rolex service warranty card. I sold it for £3400.00 on EBay five months later. I then bought a V serial white Milgauss dial all box and original papers for £3250.00 only two months ago and this is my daily watch and one and only current Rolex.
I am a firm believer in the fact that regardless of model three or four years down the road you will always recoup at least your purchase price providing you bought wisely. And as it has been said a 1000 times before its the joy of ownership that counts.
