Well, I got it!

and all I can say is WOW! I'm as giddy as a schoolgirl over my new to me Yacht-Master in SS and Platinum. I knew it was going to be nice, but not this nice. I hope this didn't just put me on the slippery slope of wanting more Rolexes!

Pal,
You've already started that process. Congrats on a great watch. Got pics?

Nice watch, you have good taste; I'm wearing mine now and I love it.

Hey, I just noticed that your winding crown has three dots and mine only has the line. Did Rolex change the crown or is it simply because I have the mid-size...maybe the experts know the answer. Here's another question, the triangle never truly lines up exactly at 12 on the bezel on the platty. do other platty wearers notice this? can it be adjusted.

I don't know about the dots, but my dial lines up pretty darn close; looks to be right on. I think the angle of the photo makes it look off; as I'm looking at it now it is right on.

Congratulations...Great watch..

Great pics;

The full size Yacht-master comes with the Rolex Triplock Crown (3 dots), the same system as fitted to the Submariner. The slightly smaller mid-size Yacht-master is fitted with the Twinlock Crown (single line) which is fitted to most of the Rolex line.

Congrats on your new watch. I'm surprised that JJ hasn't commented on it yet - he must be sleeping. I'm sure it won't be long before a new friendship is born between you and JJ!

Wow, that is a nice YM. The platinum version is the best version for the YM, IMHO.
