Its a CL.

I had a smilar body style 03 CL600 years ago. That thing had a new electrical issue every week. Motor was solid and reliable but for a V12 man was it slow by today's standards.

delorean is actually still in business in the south of the US and you can still get any parts you need by ordering online.
An american businessman bought the company in the 90's

Interesting. Didn't know that. I remember john delorean's flame out. Sad.

For the US crew there is a great show in the UK called Wheeler Dealers they buy old classics and restore them and sell them on to give them life again (you will find it on youtube), The mechanic on the show is awesome and the idea is they try to make a profit from each makeover, admittedly they dont factor in Ed's mechanic time. It is great to see the cars that they work on. They did a Delorean in a recent series, and yes there is a company that bought all the remaining parts in the USA, what is REALLY impressive, and maybe says a lot about how ambitious the plan had been and how badly it crashed, is that they are still selling ORIGINAL Parts, i.e. made to fit to new cars 30 years ago and they are still in original packaging!!!!! i.e. tail lights / digital dashes etc.

They were not a bad car and looked great, they failed the number one rule of all manufacturing, you need to be able to make it for less than you sell it for, even with all the handouts from the Irish government they could never turn a profit.

I've got a buddy that made an exact recreation of the car from the movie.

He literally rents it out for parties and whatnot. Very cool

Wheeler Dealers has been on the Tele here for several years now. They even did a few episodes here in the states finding old American muscle and restoring them.
