advice to sellers on TRF

Not sure if this is the right site for this but I have purchased 3 rolex watches from sellers on this forum and I want to continue since I am happy thus far. I see other watches I would consider but the seller has no name and no location posted on their header/title only a nickname. I think that if you are expecting me to wire thousands of dollars you should at least have this basic info there for us all to see. I know I can pm or call but why not have this info there? This makes me a little nervous. Just my opinion. Thanks.

Part of the problem is that many would be scammers try to pretend to be trusted sellers. they make up similar names and email etc. The more info they have the easier it is for them. Better safe than sorry in this day and age.
cheers

If you're not comfortable, then don't do it You can always check the seller's references in the Buyers/Sellers section on TRF

This.

There's always the walk-in brick and mortar AD.

I don't think the trusted sellers need any advice. They have been doing this for a long time and seem to be doing just fine.

Understood...Roman, I am guessing because your name isn't listed in the field that allows that. I am glad that you have found some good deals and are happy with the purchases. And don't be put off that some can be a bit sensitive, just that most of the return sellers have worked and "earned" the reputation that they have through selling and buying 10, 20 even hundreds of watches on here and elsewhere. If ever you are not 100% sure or can't get all the references needed then just walk away. Buy the seller always and it only takes one bad deal to ruin a persons name (real or screen) for good not just here but on all forums.

Glad to have you on TRF.

There are watches I would buy if I felt confident about the seller. Some of the above replys are off topic and unnecessary!
Either way I enjoy spending time on this forum.

I worry more about buyers who don't provide their data and I only sell a few from time to time.

I do understand your point - but it cuts both ways...

While you've found some trusted sellers for 3 deals, there are several hundred others who are just as trusted despite not having their name prominently posted in their info.
