I buy clothes as I need them. Part of the typical rotation. I try and buy quality made pieces, made in the US, Canada, UK or Italy. Shoes are probably most important to me though. Buy a decent pair, Goodyear Welt stitching, and you can resole them five or six times before needing a brand new pair.

I lost some weight this year so I spent like the federal government to replace a bunch of stuff that was way too large for me. On the plus side I can get into all my old suits, though what's the good in that since I no longer have to wear them?

But even for casual wear, to replace a closet full of shirts, pants, sweaters, jackets, jeans, plus all my golf and Hawaiian shirts at $100+ per, it added up this year for sure.

Not so much, I try not too since I've bought alot and have not worn the clothes that much. Some months I don't buy nothing, and some alot. It depends.
It try to buy timeless. Alot of oxford button-down shirts, chinos, polo's and classic shoes that will never "go out of time".

When they told me this I told them to take a long jump off a short pier.

.... and the reason for Ken's disposable income is that the other mods felt sorry for him and donated our modsalary to him.

Hence the zingy watch collection.

Very little. Work is dress casual.. so jeans and button down or polo shirts are fine. Still have a few suits / sport coats / slacks leftover from previous jobs so those are there for dressier events when needed. I replace jeans / shirts as needed. Shoes I wear them til they wear out. The only thing I really loved to spend money on was suits when I had to wear them for work. I love to dress sharp.. but without the opportunities to wear that as often, I scrape by with what is still holding together in the closet.

Very little because I hate clothes shopping.
Because of that, I tend to buy better quality stuff that is more timeless in styling, so I can wear it longer. :-)

I have just 3 pairs of jeans and about 6 shirts, some of which are 5 years old or better.

On average I would say I spend about 400 to 500 a year on clothes. Usually all in one day, then I am done for another year.

Too much, way too much.
I try to be economical as well as fashionable by checking out sites like dappered.com
but days like Saturday when I was in NYC and hit up Gucci ruin my budget...

I'm not a clothes person so I buy replacement articles of clothing(when on sale) as needed...jeans, T-shirts, Flannel shirts and underwear. As for shoes...I get my Birkenstock Sandals resoled as needed and shoes usually last for years!!!

I've been revamping my wardrobe, getting custom stuff NOT made in China. I fret to total up what I've spent this year.

I figure I'm at about 3%-4% of my income. But, being in the apparel business I get a lot of my shirts (like polos) as 'samples'. And all my workout clothes, sweatshirts, etc. are 'samples'. It's tough for me to pay retail because I know what this stuff actually costs at wholesale.

I spend enough to keep me in enough clothes so I can go a couple of months without doing laundry.

I used to be a major clothes-horse when I had an office job, but those days are long gone. Even then, I bought on sale whenever possible.
Trying to find clothes made in USA is like looking for a virgin in the maternity ward! Brooks Bros had some dress shirts that I use to buy in 3's ....like 3 for 175?
Since I dont work anymore I just buy cheap polo shirts at Old Navy for 8 dollars each....if I spill something on them and stain it....just throw them awasy and start over.

As little as possible. Buy my clothes at Costco, Kohls, and for the business attire at Jos. A. Banks, but on sale. I do environmental remediation work, so it's more about execution than flash.
