No, not the way I wear it, which is only occasionally.
Also, it's silver, which is considerably softer than stainless steel.
Lastly, the case, although in fab, unpolished state, has lived, so it bears some minor marks already, which I actually like.

If it were a new, mirror-polished one, I probably wouldn't do it...

i feel the same way. Mine is no longer mirror like because i didnt have it polished and i like it that way. Nice being able to wear the watch and not worry about every little mark

Exactly - I'm always careful with all my things anyway, but I'm glad I don't have to worry about highly-polished case-sides with any of my Rolex. The GMT is the most immaculate because it had a RSC UK full service and polish, just before I bought it. I haven't scratched it since 2011. The SUB and SD just had movement service.
