What is the difference in a TT Blue 16613 Sub and the newest version?

Anyone have both the blue 16613 and the newest ceramic version with new dial? Is there much difference? worth trading up to the new model? A side by side pic would be super helpful. Thank you.....

Different case, dial (maxi), bracelet with solid center links, guidelock, ceramic bezel. I would say it is very different but only up to how much you value all the improvements to trade up to the new one. In my opinion the new one is a substantial improvement and makes the older one look and feel a bit dated.

I have owned both, and yes it worth trading up. Each and every feature IMO is a big plus to a great watch! You need to see and feel them in person side by side to really appreciate all the changes made!

IMHO the only trade up is the price,now if I did not already own a 16613 then yes I would buy the 116613.

Get to your AD and compare. I traded up, I felt the improvements were worth it.

They are not 100% solid gold as they have holes drilled right though the metal for the screws and link pins. Although this internet term hollow links is taken far out of content, the links are made from solid gold tubes that are then pressed into the link shape.So the void in the link is slightly bigger than the new type drilled through links, but would doubt in the real world any stronger or longer lasting.

The older gold link uses a stainless tube that bushes between the link screw and the gold centre link. IMO it would move more over time as the outer edges wear than the new model would, which is a solid edge rubbing on a solid edge.

but we are really being silly with this. It takes either extreme abuse, or multiple decades of continuous wear, to cause the sides of the links to wear down and lead to 'stretch'.
