Sub C, SS Sub-C or Submariner DateC?
I can't follow these posts.
Time to use model numbers.

That's a easy answer. Any sub will be a great buy for ever. A sub c can be your first and only watch if you want it to be. I wear mine almost everyday to work.

I'm also guilty as charged with my wife :)

Get a sub. You won't regret it

A lot of guys here have a Subc and they are a pretty cool bunch so nothing wrong with being one of us if you love the watch. And once you are a WIS, the rest of the world doesn't matter... as Michael said - We are the world.

A Sub is an excellent first choice, also consider an Explorer I and the Oyster Perpetual. Both are clean, simple, durable and versatile.

The reason so many people have "that watch" is because it is so freaking awesome!
Go for it!

My advice, go and get one sub-c as your first.
You wont regret it.

I had the same doubt as you when hunting for my first one. I ended up getting the sub-c as my first one, been very happy and never look back.
Now that i owned one, i start to look for my second one, which i think will be datejust two tone.

So what ever your decision is, go for it to reward urself and enjoy it.

The SubC is the perfect first watch. It's even perfect as an only watch. I'm setting three of these aside for each of my Son's when they graduate college. I think it will be the perfect gift to prepare for an active life.

I love my Subc as well! As much as we say they are everywhere, believe it or not I don't see THAT many in the wild (Chicago)

I started with the sub c as my first after considering an air king, but I'm a larger sized person so I'm glad I went with the subc only to be followed a few months later by another sub 14060m, guess what my next watch will be... Probably a sub date!
