They are both iconic. The Sub more so.

Let's face it to a lot on this board it would be sub no brainier but in the non-WIS world I think nothing screams Rolex more than a DJ IMHO

It may be the DJ, as it's made for men & women.

Datejust (and Day-Date), no question about it. All those big Rolex clocks in airports have the fluted bezel for a reason.

The holy trinity of Rolex is the MilSub, Paul Newman Daytona, and the COMEX Submariners. That's 2 out of 3 submariners. Sub is more iconic.

Datejust with its iconic fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. One of the most copied watches in history. The Submariner is also right up there and is more popular for sure.

And I would throw the Daytona in that mix as well.

This ^^ , and age. Here in HK, Rolex is everywhere, but the old fellas are DJ guys, while more people in the middle aged to younger generation wear some variation of the Sub

P.S.. From one Old Expat Beast to another, we should get together for a pint sometime!!

I would have to say both. If I had to choose one, I would have to say the Sub but ever so slightly. as a matter of fact, it was the DJ that developed my interest in Rolex when I was around 13 years old.

I think DJ. It fits the iconic part better. I like the sub more but when I think classic rolex I think DJ or DD

When a President (of the US) wears a Sub in office, then I'll change my opinion. DJ all the way! Twas my first Rolex, and likely my next before I acquire an AP RO.

Iconic? As in most recognized? That's easy - DJ. Among watch fans? Tougher.
