Thanks, guys. It was nice of Waka to do that. My son said he posed with anyone that wanted a picture. I see it like this: I had never heard of Waka prior to this. But if I'd asked my Dad who Mick Jagger or Jim Morrison was, he'd have had no idea. New kid in the neighborhood? Now the Stones can be heard in elevators in the Muzak mode.
By the same token, over the years I've developed an appreciation for Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Artie Shaw, Dad's music. Someday, I may even develop an appreciation for iced Rolexes. Ya never know!

Cool picture, young son, young rapper...tastes change & evolve, waka will likely move to AP ROO, then may find himself in patek if he has continued success, perhaps he just needs time to grow into his cash.
Just listened to some of the tunes, sounds like "crunk" to me...love the dance moves!

Very cool thread! Can't say I'm surprised by some of the comments though

With the exception of the odd verse when he's guesting on a NY rapper's song (he seems to step up lyrically) I can't say I'm fan. That being said he's always struck me as a really humble down to earth guy. for being nice enough to take a pic with a fan.
As for the comments. Most of my influences have come from rap music at one point or another. I'm pretty certain my first introduction to Rolex was the DJ and DD from seeing them on record covers. |

I haven't heard of him before, but that is very cool of him to pose in a pic with your son w/ the wrist shot. Hey, we each all like Rolex in our own way.. main thing is that we all like Rolex! Definitely some serious bling on his watches..
