I was gobsmacked........

this morning when my wife, who has been wearing my vintage Wittnauer, said:

"I was wearing your watch yesterday and when I looked at it for the time, I thought that it was pretty cool to have more than one watch to wear!"

Holy cripes! This could be good, or it could be bad........

Jacqui has always been someone who, when asked if she would like another watch, stated "No thanks, I like the one I have - I don't need any more than this."

Now she is thinking of more than one!

This will either mean she can understand my "need" for more watches, or it will mean that bankruptcy is not far away...........

My wife has never understood my fetish with watches. Her answer has pretty much been the same as your wifes " I don't need another watch, I like mine" After she picked-up my GMT for me last week she's been admiring it. Her most recent thought is "seeing as you have your Rolex. I think I may want one now"
Not that I'm being selfish, but this is going to greatly impead the aquisition of MY next Rolex.
I sooooooooooooo hope this is just a passing fad for her.

It took my convincing to get Andie to get a auto watch. I picked a TT Tudor Princess with diamond dial. She loves the watch, but refuses to wind it herself. I had it regulated last month and it has been +1 a day for a month now. She refuses to let me get her a nice sport watch though.

Tell her how hot she will look with a 40mm men's Rolex on her wrist. Its whats in these days. Then go shopping with her for one that catches YOUR eye. Problem solved

Ask BruceS to give you some pointers, him and his young wife (he's my idol) share all "men's" sized watches.

Tell her it would make even more sense , if the two of you bought a few "interchangeable" sport watches. More bang for your buck.
But don't tell her, the reason she is wearing "your watch" is just to keep it wound properly..

What I love about Zemina is she's not only truly contended with her Lady TT YM, but never discusses watches unless...

1. I bring up the subject.
2. She happens to notice a nice watch on someone's wrist whilst watching TV...like Justine's YG YM playing in the Aussie Open.

Well my wife has no interest in watches period, she has a nice vintage Tudor and Rolex. But would rather wear one of these, cheap fashion type watches.
