I have not owned any gold bracelet Rolex yet, but one may be in my soon future.
How to the gold bracelets hold up compared to the stainless steel? I know gold is soft, but it all depends on what other metals are mixed into it.
Any input of durability difference would be nice.

Honestly from a metal hardness I get the question but for me the precious metals wear and mark about the same as my SS watches
With just common sense care they are all durable and the "softness" of the metal would in no way deter me from getting the watch you want

Gold holds up just as well for me as SS. It all depends on the owner for any watch of course. Here is my WG Sub for illustration...Looks brand new still:

I think about the same too. I am conscious of my watches and that might be why. Some guys treat all watches like a tool watch and they can get worn out in a hurry.

Like Tom and Ken, IMO it's more about the owner than the metal. All my golds look as nice as my steels. I've seen some owners with steel watches in very rough shape.

I own both gold and steel Rolexes, and none of mine look as nice as the pics above. In fairness I never polish them. But both metals are quite durable.

However, I agree 18K is very similar to SS in durability, and if you didn't know what metal was what, it would be impossible to tell the difference.

PS. Your blue sweater cuff has a small piece of white lint embedded, please remove it

I find hairline scratches on my SS and my YG related to wear. Too tiny to notice 99.9% of the time. I just put them on, worry free

No problems wearing gold at all.

The scratches buff out a lot easier than SS with "cape cod"

Funny, that's I call my wrinkle on my face character lines.....not wrinkles. However, in the case of Rolex, I believe you are right. Up to a reasonable point, they are character.
