Rolex 16710 fair prices?

I am in the market for a GMT-II 16710 currently looking both locally and online. Is it me or did they jump in price a bit now since the ceramic gmt release?

I found a N serial good shape no papers but has box for $4150 shipped. Is this a fair price now? Piece is in good shape and shoes minimal wear for a 1991 watch.

Yes, I agree with you.....about a ten percent jump in price since Basel.

That price is low. It's all about condition. I personally don't purchase used watches without the original box and paperwork. I have just had too many bad experiences. People swap out dials, bezels/inserts, bands, etc. If you do, be sure to inspect the movement, engravings on the case and band. The band being not original isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but be sure to reference the serial number to make sure it corresponds to the claimed date, purchase date, model, etc.

Looking at Vintage watches (unbelievable that watches from the 90s will start to be vintage in less than 5 years), the value is so much higher with box and papers. If that watch is from 1991 it will be vintage in less than 7 years. You can get one with box and papers for less than 6k. Just a thought.
