Date Just 16030 - Thoughts?

Guys!

I was on the hunt for a 1601 for quite some time but came across this piece just now. The black dial and 'gold' not sure maybe 'golden' hands looks so nice on a Jubilee bracelet that I had to take your opinion before...

I dont know I was just looking for a SS 1601 but this one is talking to me and wanted to ask for your input. What do you think of this model or is the 1601 more collectable / recomended. It is not offered for cheap ($3K give or take)

Oh its reference number is 6.4 mil

Let me know!

Looks ok

The only thing I noticed is that the minute hand is a little oxidized . . .

But for the rest she looks great !

Good luck

Little oxidation on the hands like KingAir said but otherwise it looks nice. The open 9s are a nice touch

The only thing I know about vintage is that I like the looks.

At $3K it's not cheap. You can do A LOT better if you shop around for a 16030. I would look for a nice 1601 and save a bundle.

I just picked up a 16030 off of ebay for $2100 and it is in better shape than that. Mine also loses only 4 seconds every 5 days. Shop around you can do better.

Shop around

DJ's are extremely good value IMO. I've two right now and I'm looking for a third with a slate grey dial. Both of mine are mint with full box, papers swing tags etc. compared to a Sub, GMT or Explorer from that period they represent a great every day watch that you can wear with a suit or jeans. Take your time and look around, there are some great watches about.
