JJ,
I would love to own a Yachtmaster eventually, I have a few questions about that watch. Is the bezel platinum too? Does the bezel rotate? Bi or Single directional? And is the bezel one piece, or two?
Thanks! David S.

Tom,
That 1011 is beautiful. I had never seen a bombe lug watch with the Jubile bracelet, it's a great combo! How about some more shots of that one?

The bezel insert it platinum and the bezel rotates in both directions. The bezel is composed of multiple pieces.

Hey JJ - I'm with you on this - I've no wish to have any watch other than my good old GMT.

Anyway - who was it that said; "Man with one Rolex knows exact time, but man with two Rolexes is never quite sure . . . "?

well this is just too close to home. I've
been wearing a TT DJ for over 20 years, and after a month of wearing my new Daytonas, I looked at my lonesome DJ beauty, and decided to wear her today. I dont know why, but I was staring at her this afternoon and thinking how I might just go back for good....

Bezel, bezel insert and dial are all made of 950 grade Platinum.

Bezel is bi-directional just like the GMT-II. Bezel is 2 pieces - insert and serrated outer ring - both Platinum.

JJ... Question: When talking yachtmaster and GMT models (current platy's), which one holds their value better in the long run, I mean is one more collectable than the other??

I wouldn't even dream of it, Jon. Thanks for the kind offer, but I would like you to just concentrate on getting your health back together again....most important thing for now.

Good luck - JJ

I guess a GMT-II is more in demand. It certainly is a more practical watch, especially for those who do a lot of travelling.

But you just can't beat the stuning looks of precious Platinum!!

I was a one watch man, an Omega Speedmaster Pro, up until last month when I "commissioned" my grandfathers gold Milus. A nice simple classic watch. I can only wear it one day at a time though before the speedy puls me back.

All that will change in April when I collect my new (to me) black bezel 16750. I'm not sure what I wil do....the speedy and th 16750 are visualy quite similar. What I think is that I will swap the bezel on the 16750 to pepsi.

But JJ - I'm new here and all, but I thought you were a dyed in the wool (no offense meant) bluesy guy?

Are you sure that the serrated outer ring is platinum as well? I thought Bo said it was steel.

JJ - your avatar always makes me smile!
I'm quite happy with one Rolex - if I ghad more than one how the heck would I decide which one to wear - although I am seriously GASsing for a sub or an SD that's for sure!
And Pt is my favourite element anyway - so I can't imagine what it would be like to have all that Pt on my wrist! Don't come near me! I'll have it off you! Or at least try!

Georgeous! Totally georgeous - I wish they did AKs in Pt.
