Good idea.

Buy the correct box and booklets etc. it if you can and when your watch is next serviced at a RSC pop the warranty card in the box.

It has been said that Rolex watches are sent to AD's in a plastic box and are paired with the box etc. at point of sale.
If this is correct then the box you are buying will be as good as the original IMO.

Have to agree Vanessa but today the internet has deemed these boxes and out of date warranty,and even the bits of plastic more important than the actual watch.And in the real world all these items are the easiest to fake with today's technology.Today thanks to the internet some even pay for bezel protectors and rest of the packaging like you say and have to agree crap.

So true. It's hard to do though, especially when you want something vintage and rare. You kinda gotta take some risk. I live where there isn't a lot to choose from in person. All but a couple of my Rolexes were purchased online. Ricky for sure, box and papers cut that risk substantially. As replicas get better (especially these vintage replicas coming out now), I think b&p will be a must is bought online.
