Icon20 Hello, new guy here...

I just wanted to introduce myself, My name is Valentin, I go by Val though. I'm from Houston TX. I don't have a Rolex yet, but I know that one day I will! I came upon this forum by chance and I must say that I really like it compared to the others that I have seen.

Welcome to TRF, Val. Glad you found your way over here. Join the fun.

As the others have said, we don't care that you don't own a Rolex yet. We have faith that one day you will. And that will be the beginning of your downhill slide into the hell of Rolex addiction. A word of warning. There is no known cure for this dread addiction.

Welcome to TRF Val, from just up north from ya!! Like others have said, it doesn't matter if you own a Rolex, Timex or no watch. If you want to meet some great people, talk some about watches and have fun then stick around.

Glad to have you on board, post away.

Well, most of us are a fun bunch. There are a couple of people you need to watch out for, though. I won't mention any names, but prominent among them is a Dutchman who wears wooden shoes. Be especially aware of him. He's very dangerous.

I don't wear wooden shoes anymore you sap. My new pair are made of stainless steel. You'll soon find out (And it'll relieve you from your haemorrhoids very soon, I promise!).

Now I don't know what I can do about that, Paul - methinks you asketh too much!

Then again, I did do some research, and an interesting article turned up. Apparently, police in Amsterdam are seeking a suspect who brutally bashed a dealer with a pair of yellow clogs, and they've released this police sketch based upon the victim's description:
