Went to Verizon to look at all the cell candy yesterday. They basically have the same thing most phone retailers have. The iphone 4, which I'm testing right now, is so small...it's terrible; but I can work with it if necessary. The phone doesn't send texts with images quickly...and we've lost quite a few in transit. Maybe it's Att service in my area. My daughters are having the same problems, and they have new iphones!
Anyway, I'm still with Verizon and am test piloting Att service with an iphone. Right now, I'm not very impressed with the local Att service. We live in a full service area, so I don't understand it. Anyway, phones that are impressive: LG G3: good looker, supposedly great camera Samsung S5: larger screen, great camera, water resistant? HTC One M8: GREAT looker, fast, grt sound!, camera adequate, don't like blink feed--constantly updating (battery and data). Blackberry Z30: Amazing looker, great camera, smooth operator, Android apps can be side loaded, all MS Suite can be accessed, fast, endless battery life, CANNOT use PayPal CC reader. Iphone 5s: smooth, OS is stable but boring, fits into my pocket, OS works smoothly with PayPal CC reader--it's just a phone. (preferences are not in any particular order.) Any experience with any of these?

I'm not stereotyping anything from China, in the same way I wouldn't buy an unknown make of electronic device from a market stall, I wouldn't buy a non EU approved electronic device to plug into the mains and hope it doesn't catch fire whilst me and my family are asleep at night. The plug may be a UK three pin, but I am certain the electronics won't be approved to an EU standard... There are enough incidence of after market chargers catching fire that to save a few quid the risk/reward is not worth it to me. An S3/S4 used would probably cost an extra £100 or so, or like I said, a brand new UK sourced Motorola E or G is the same price. |

I have the samsung galaxy s4 and my wife has the iphone 5. I prefer the s4 for browsing the net, reading kindle and pretty much everything else. For pictures and videos, I would have to hand it to the iphone. Or probably my wife is just better in taking pictures and videos. lol. I'm waiting for the iphone 6 though. If it gets a big screen, I just might switch.

I really love the size of my iphone 5... fits perfectly in my pocket and hand. I've used a droid for a very brief period, and I can tell you that the size killed it for me. I thought it would be the opposite since it's a much larger screen, but the bulk of the phone isn't worth the tradeoff. I really hope Apple still offers a smaller phone as an option to the rumored bigger screened phone.
