Rolex 6694 s/n 1857xxx (1970?) with 7-71 Rivet bracelet...Unfortunately, a former gorilla fisted jeweler had his way with the case back and as shown left it a bit rougher than when he started...I haven't attempted to remove the back and will likely leave it as is...Nice watch overall, but there seems to be some stains and debris perhaps on the dial...Winds easily and keeps fair time...Dial is a very light champagne, the last image is too white and almost looks like a different watch!

Suggestions on taking the back off or just pull the bracelet and move the watch on as it sits.

Not sure what you're asking.

Rough looking 6694. The RSC or a competent watchmaker could easily replace the case back and crystal and you're good to go. The dial is actually silver, the aging crystal gives it a champaigne tint

There is still more than enough "meat" on that case back to get it off.

I'd polish it up, leave the caseback and source a new dial. If you need to know the year I'd just pop off the bracelet and date it with the SN

Parts are not hard to find and worth the effort to give you years of service. Competent watchmaker work. First to do is remove case back and make sure the monkey did not injure movement or threads of the case. M
