My first mechanical watch

Today my wife and I were having lunch with my parents at their home, we started talking about watches and suddenly my mom stood up and went to her bedroom and came back with a watch my grand father gave me when I was around four years old, it is a mechanical watch, still runs, I will take it to my watch guy to get it cleaned and serviced so my 10 month old boy can wear it in the near future, I need to find a band for it, it is probably a 10mm band, the watch is very small, I am attaching a picture of it next to my FF so you can get an idea how small it is, perfect for my kid!, this one has great sentimental value for me, I am really exited!

you've come a long way but obviously started with pure class! how is that fifty fathom's travelling for you? a keeper? pretty cool if your kid ended up following same arc, that is wearing snoopy and then one day owning the BPFF!

i'm hopefully receiving my FF today. waiting on the man right now (come on fedex). sorry to bomb in on your thread but the excitement is too much!

For me the FF is a keeper, I have had some other nice watches, rolex, cartier, PP and IWC, at this time I would not trade it for any other, probably would add a nautilus 5711, but not trade it, I have the steel bracelet also and it is amazing, definetly recommend it, you will enjoy it.

Love it! I recently picked up a vintage Mickey Mouse watch that I love to wear occasionally. Reminds me of the simpler, carefree times of my youth. Your son is going to love it!

If only we knew than what we know now, I'm sure most of us would have saved some of those neat toys and other goodies that we had when we were kids.
