Guys, thanks for the great words. I think I need to clarify something just a bit. It is not really the fact about the others that own one, (although that is part of it) it is more about the fact that I would rather be in my own crowd, then part of the flock.
I would never sell a watch because anyone (other than my wife ) wanted me too. Hell with them and that, I just know that I have been trying to force something that was not ever comfortable for me. I have tried like hell to force myself to love watches that I knew I didn't. To me that is crazy. I have found my ultimate Rolex, the YM. I am wearing it again today and love this watch. The only other one that I even care to own is a DD, but that is later, when I am like Ed, Dennis, JJ, Padi (and on and on) age. I am not leaving at all guys, just not jumping on TRF every second I can. I need to be there for the wife and son and then get my fill here. C'mon guys, this is my alcohol, I can't just stop. I have to say, the above posts really show me some great friendship. You guys get it. It is not about who owns what watch or how many, just about the people. Even if I had no watches, I would still be here, because my friends hang out in this bar.

What you just said makes it clearer to me now.
If it makes you smile, Wear it. If it doesn't make you smile, Then I see your point.

Yeah, CJ, having a case of writer's block - I'm just working out where to take my JJ story.

Daren, I totally hear you and understand. I did a similar thing back in the spring, remember?
You're a great friend and while I'll miss you here, we still have email/phone. |
