Here's a similar incident of a dolphin seeking help from divers. You often hear stories of Dolphins helping divers/swimmers but this is pretty unusual.

The dolphin had a hook and fishing line entangled around it's pectoral fin and actually approaches local divers for assistance off the coast in Hawaii!
