i like looking at all the ebay postings you mention, and they are a big help.
but it would be even more useful to me if you pointed out a couple things that are wrong with each of them (since i am not as familiar with the knock offs and cant tell the difference usually). thanks, mark |

Despite the fact that I have owned and enjoyed Rolex for years I am amazed at the experts here with their amazing eye for details. That said, this particular ebay item is fairly transparent as they are not trying to hide the fact that it is fake:
brand new never been worn. (no brand new Rolex costs less than 4 digits) • Jewel movement • One piece solid screw down crown • Automatic movement with smooth sweeping second hand • Thick solid stainless steel bracelet and case. Bracelet is much thicker than lower end makes. (Inference is that it's a better "fake" than lower end fakes) • Scratch resistant sapphire crystal (dial cover) • Extremely precise engravings on dial and solid back case (an inference to the quality of it's replica) • Hacking Movement: Second hand stops when time is being set • Bracelet uses screws, no pins • Solid end links • Steelinox engraving on the clasp Also, as far as I've ever seen, all Rolex sales on eBay guarantee authenticity etc. etc |

New Box From Rolex?
He looks like he got the pre-Basel box that will be used for the DS model.
The whole thing looks shabby. |

The minute markers are too far away from the edge of the dial and they are over the coronet at 12. Dumb!

This part was my favorite:
"Extremely precise engravings on dial and solid back case"
