Flying a CRJ900

Taking this bird from La Guardia down to Sarasota next week. Looks tiny. Anyone ever fly it? How was it?

It's not the biggest bird out there but what do you need more than this for such a short flight . . . .

Great airplanes btw

I fly these regional jets all the time. Crowded and serviceable.

I like the small planes as the CRJ900.

As far as the RJs go it is probably the most comfortable. Go for the bulkhead of you can get it.

I fly in them a lot to Atlanta on Delta. It's narrow but I like the seats better than Embraer's regional jet. I find the CRJ to be fairly noisy though.

Small?!? That's funny to me. I think of an RJ9 as huge.

As a side note, I'd pick a CRJ900 over a 737 7 days a week.

Great little a/c reminds me of a mini VC10 with the rear mount engines.

First Class on Delta is OK. Otherwise, the seats are cramped.

Overhead storage won't fit a standard roller bag.

Seating is 1+2 in first and 2+2 in coach (on Delta).

Fly them very frequently; small planes. If you fly solo, ask for 'A' seats

OK, I also think this is somewhat a lost in translation, as these wouldn't be called "first class" in Europe. It would be "Business class".

Here we usually have coach, business and first.

Either way the Bombardier's are really nice aircrafts!

Smooth depends on the air you are flying through . . .

Hard to make a bumpy road flat.

I really enjoy smaller jets. On long hauls the bigger the better, but for shorter hops, I take the smaller noisier over a boring 737 anyday.

Sometimes you got some bumpy rides in the air . . .

Yesterday flying from ATL to LAX it was sometimes bumpy but I am used to use to it.

Been I'm really rough turbulence during the years . . .
