Stupid questions or stupid for asking??? I'm not sure I'm entirely on-board with this concept. I know plenty of folks who spend huge money on 160 mph cars yet don't know one end of a torque wrench from another. Such is the way of the world. I find this thread condescending and opportunist. Any question, asked in earnest, deserves a non-derisive answer.

Is it safe to leave my SDDS in a dry place at night, or do I have to keep it in my aquarium over night? Is it safe to snorkel with my new SDDS or will the new ringlock system break down due to the lack of significant pressure? I can't read the engravings on the "shelf" under the crystal on my new SDDS. Am I going blind or do the engravings gradually fade when you are not deep-sea diving with it?

If the valve is for helium to escape from, what happens to the other gasses?

I think very few of those questions would be asked by someone who can afford to buy a $12.5K wrist watch.

Why is there a date on the watch? How many days do they expect me to stay at depth?

......b/c it will take "days" to adjust to the pressuse as you descend to 12,800 feet!

I took off my DS for a few days last week, and when I went to put it on again, it had stopped. I think this is totally unacceptable for a watch in this price range to have such short power reserve. My Seiko Kinetic can go almost six months! Also, now the date seems to change at noon! PLEASE HELP!
