Cut the AP strap in the dark without cutting your wrist or you even feeling it, all these within a bump...I can't see that happening...even when you were drunk.

I feel your pain. There is no good way to loose a watch, but this really sucks
The whole "cutting of the strap" concept is difficult to believe. These are not paper thin straps. Something else must have gone down. |

Today is a sad day :(
First, sorry for your loss. Really sucks.
Second - I'd probably say that the most likely scenario is that the screws were very loose and that bump was the final straw. It's harder to accept that someone would be able to squeeze your wrist when removing the strap and you not to feel something happening. As my insurance consultant says ... Insurance is worthless until you need it - then it is priceless. (Peace of mind) |

This may not help much, however, no harm trying...I suggest you post some pictures on your warranty booklet showing the serial number...we guys here can help to post in our Facebook or any channels and share around.

It wouldn't have been cut, most likely they bumped you somewhere else so when they took it off your wrist your pain sensors were focussed elsewhere.

Well, an expensive lesson. Like others have stated, insurance is a MUST. As a rider to your home policy it is not that expensive. Make sure you get "replacement value" option.

Wow very sorry to hear this. I'm shocked the thief ID'd and successfully stole your watch. Here's a guy on the today show who steals the hosts watch right off his wrist without him knowing any better
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MG2HPtbV-80 Sounds like you were hit by a similar professional who knew exactly what they were doing. |

You know after hearing this and watching that video it makes me want to dig up my G shock for public wearing.
But on a more serious note, I wonder if there could be some sort of clip that could either snap around both ends of a strap (like a catch but would be secured through a hole in the strap) that would be just big enough to make it not fit through the buckle. Maybe it could be made of a clear plastic. Just something that would add a step to removing the watch. Maybe I'll see what I can come up with |

Thats crazy. I understand trying to take off a normal strap style buckle but a tang. That is risky and I'm surprised it didn't get caught on your thumb and yank your hand. Super sad and kind of scares me as i'm in clubs all the time and i totally know what you mean. Im getting bumped into all the time.

Couldn't believe it happened with an AP. It appears to be more under the radar than say a Rolex.

this is just crazy... I cannot believe it.. So sorry this happened.
I literally just sat for 5 minutes and visualized your scenario and I just don't see how someone could take that particular watch off in one move.. Like you said the tang buckle is stiff against the rubber and so are the two rubber keepers.. The thief must have bumped you one other time in the night to get the strap loose and ready for his final move. |

wow that sucks!
Blows my mind though that you didn't have insurance. If someone stole my watch off my wrist I guess I would be a little upset until the insurance company sent me a check to buy a brand new one at full replacement cost! |
