Phew. I had to fix up my father in law's Oyster Perpetual after it landed on a tiled floor. Glad you didn't have a similar result!!

My Air-King has also been quite accurate (I want to say it has the 1520 movement but I'm not sure). Weird about the seal. Hopefully one of the techs on this forum will have their typically fine counsel.
