I like two tone GMT's with nipple dials but no other two tones. I guess it's inherently a two-tone kind of watch, whatever those two tones might be. Do Rolex call them nipple dials?

BTW what's wrong with talking about what celebrities wear. If Sean Connery hadn't worn a Sub as 007 then I doubt even 50% as many would have been sold over the years.

I agree with you~ But actually I also like some of the Datejust II 2 tones and even some of the Turn-O-Graph rose gold 2 tones... Awe heck I just like mostly all Rolexes~ Two tone, Single tone each model has it's own charisma! Afterall they're Rolexes!

There's a guy on here who photographs his fancy lunches and cigars while wearing a two tone sub.. And it looks deviously delicious while doing so.... I think he's famous at least around these parts?

Federer wears different models every tournament. No big deal for obvious reasons. What I find amazing is Nadal wearing a watch while playing.

Yup. Me too. Even Serena Williams wore her AP while playing.

Since you brought nadal name back up, do we happen to have a member with his latest toy, the rm27-01??

it'll be excellent to have a proud owner amongst us....

I like it, but the Black & Gold TT Sub is one of, if not the least popular model.

I particularly like TT black-face and blue-face Subs.
I like gold Subs also, and if I could afford one it would spend a lot of time on my wrist.
I've never met a "pimp" so I wouldn't know what they wear (but it wouldn't concern me anyhow)
Pollies these days are so controlled by their 'image-makers' that they don't have much say in anything.
Celebrities (have a look at some of the people who qualify!) well who cares.

Love my recent SS Sub, wife would be very happy with a TT Rolex, even though she never hankered after a Rolex before. Certainly whether a celeb wears TT or not holds no interest for me, but the prestigious Rolex name and quality obviously does. 😊 I suppose it's all down to what the heart wants and personal taste which, let's face it, isn't what most non A-list 'celebs' are famous for!

Guy Fierrai from Diners Drive ins and Dives and Henry Cole Biker wear black TT Subs. I wear a blue TT sub and I'm famous in my house.

Coming from someone that grew up in LA and works with celebrities from around the world, I can honestly care less what they do, the watches they wear, etc. Wear what you love and enjoy it -- that's all that matters.

I personally am not a big fan of solid gold watches and usually wear my 116613 on a daily basis. I think, in many situations, it gives off the wrong impression, especially when it comes to business. I would be more worried about that.

Just my $.02

I used to wear a TT Black sub and I once shook hands with Ellie May from the Beverly Hillbillies. Does that count?

I have never owned a TT Black Sub, has never been on my radar but as said, I do not plan my acquisitions based on what celebrities wear.

I think the OP got treated a little roughly here. There are dozens of posts on this forum about the popularity of one model over another. I don't really care what celebrities wear but it is interesting to see sometimes what people end up wearing who aren't constrained by resources just to gain a different perspective. And with all the noise on here about Sean Connery and Paul Newman I must not be alone in that.

I have all gold, two tone, and stainless, but I'm not a celeb. I like two tone best of all because it goes with everything. So the theory that people who buy two tone can not afford gold, is not always accurate.

famous people only wear watch bands made from the skin of poor people. two-tone is considered racist.

wow not sure how so many people here interpreted the OP as wanting to copy a famous person's style

he was just asking why they do not wear certain models

So based on a few pictures you reached this conclusion?

Buy what you want to own and wear, forget about everyone else.
