Help me decide
Cant decide...
I want to sell a few of the collection and add more collectable watches. I just ordered a 5711. Sell 5 of my watches and add $3,000 for a AP ROO 26170st Sell 3 watches keeping my vintage Breitling toptime and vintage wakmann buying an AP 15400. or Selling my 2 watches keeping my vintage Breitling toptime, vintage Wakmann and Speedy. Buying a Rolex 16520? ( Watches in question are; Breitling Chronomat 44, Omega PO 8500, Omega Speedy 3570.50, Vintage Wakmann, 67 Breitling Toptime. ) Thanks for the help guys

I don't think you need a RO if you already have a 5711. I got a 5711 and I really love mine. The RO is quite similar and is not that high end as a Nautilus (this is my opinion, feel free to disagree).
I absolutely hate the ROO, so only the 16520 is left. You already own a few chrono's, so possibly you don't really need another one.... |

Sell them all and buy a Platona to go with your 5711.

Thanks for the pics, impressive collection you have there. Do they all get equal wrist time? Are there any you propose to trade that you think you will miss in the long run? I guess you like your chronograph's and I think the two most iconic and desirable are the Speedmaster and the Daytona so I would do the trade for the Rolex.
The Platona suggestion above sounds tempting but I guess it depends on the points I mentioned previously, plus I'm not sure how a Platona would hold up in the long run if you are looking more at collectors pieces. Have you thought about a vintage Daytona?

I really like the 15400 so would probably go for that.
Either way, consolidation into a few very fine pieces sounds like a good plan |

Platona is out, way too expensive for now. Next watch will be under 15k pre-owned. I don't own any gold watches anymore so a 16528 would be a great pick

I think after the 5711 I don't want to spend money out of pocket right now. So I'm thinking anything under 13k pre owned.

Nice collection Anthony! I would rank the group on the wrist time and enjoyment. This might clarify your trade decision.

The speedy I love but I can always pick another one back up. The two vintage watches id like to keep. The PO and Chronomat can go.

Well...hard for me to say. You seem to have a lot of chronos and a few other watches, and I'm kind of the reverse...so our tastes aren't going to match up.
That said, how about a SS YMII? It's about in the price range you're looking for and kind of continues the chrono theme. |

Looking for 42mm and under not a fan of a YM2. Maybe I'll sell all five buy a 16520 and something else. I'd have a 5711 Navi 01 Tudor Blackbay 16520 and something else, maybe a older sub or Exploer 2? Or I'll bite the bullet and throw in money for a AP or 16528. Lol

I know what you need..... TIME to figure this out. For me too many options, I think you really need to narrow down to what you want to own, potentially for a long time... I don't think you can go wrong with any paths listed above!

I would sell 5 and get an AP RO and a Rolex... I think that is where you are heading anyway... seen it a lot around here, consolidating to the 3 big brands.
