What is included in a service from Rolex.
I have a Lady Date Just at the Los Angeles RSC.
I have been told the standard service includes inspection, disammebly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly and a new service crystal if needed. Currently $800 USD. Does anyone with current experience with services at the LA RSC? Is the info above accurate? Thank you. |

What I got from Dallas RSC was a hefty bill! I just paid close to $900 for a standard (no parts replaced) service on my DD

You should receive a detailed estimate of all operations to be performed, and you need to agree to them, before they start the service.
It also includes refinishing the case and bracelet, regulation, and pressure test. 800 is on the high side unless it is a gold model.

ODD, I thought the Beverly Hills service center was shut down some years back. But I just noticed that it is on the Rolex web site as being opened.
I have mine serviced at an independent guy in a small town in central CA who does it for a very reasonable fee. Around $400 plus. He services a lot of Rolex watches for jewelers in the central CA area.

I'm assuming the $800 includes the crystal as standard service is $600. Had my GMT serviced there recently and they did a great job

I called my AD last week. I was told $600 for standard service, $130 for crystal, shipping both ways $75.

I have my SD coming back from RSC Dallas.
Full inspection, quote, repair, lubrication, polish is all included. You should have received a quote for you to approve. They ship USPS Registered Mail, which is slow (but safe) and reliable. |

Thanks to all. This afternoon I called and was referred to Dallas. The watch is a gold Lady Datejust.
I hope to be speaking to them in Dallas tomorrow. I will report back. |

Let see.. I still have my invoice from RSC in Beverly Hills when I took in my Explorer II Polar in for service. The total came to $600 even and the description of service was:
- Factory Movement Service - Polish Monobloc crown - Refinish case and bracelet They gave me a whole booklet about what Factory Movt Service includes. lol Btw, they don't do the work there locally. They told me they send them out to Dallas but hoping that next year they'll have some Rolex certified watchmaker in-house to do some minor repair on the premises (this includes Tudor). The Factory Movement Service includes: - Disassembly - Cleaning the movement - Replacement of components - Lubrication - Timing calibration - Refinishing - Reassembly - Waterproof tests - Final Quality Control And after all this is done then you'll have their 2 year service guarantee. Hope that helps. I even took a snapshot there with my crappy cellphone. |
