Thank you all for the responses, after reading these, I neglected to mention the GMT has become the daily wearer, the other two may get one or two days of wrist time each month.

I would flip the GMT to another color. Both GMT and Deepsea are black and look similar from far ;)

in which case if it is possible i would keep the GMT and save for that precious metal baby.

actually what i'd do is sell the daytona and DSSD, get a SD4000 or ND sub and save for a Lange/Patek/FP Journe

Watchstudent, I was thinking of a Patek but I am a little afraid to pull the trigger, I had an AP and hated it, traded an M series sea dweller and a 3186 pepsi for it, so I regret straying away from Rolex.

That is understandable for sure. I am just at the start of this obsession really but my mentality is if you have a steel sports Rolex or two that right there is the climax of that genre (I don't like to have overlapping duties as I feel i wouldn't bond with the watch as much, as gushy as that sounds it is important to me when buying watches above £100!) and the next step would be something that is in an entirely different genre. Something beyond robust and reliable, something with more hand work and finesse (i just like to look at these photos so here they are):





With a gold/platinum rolex i just feel like you are paying over the odds for the metal really as the mechanics are identical in the steel ones. With something like the above you aren't really paying for the metal but the expertise and patents and man hours that have gone into the watch and this just sits better with me. All irrelevant for me though as I can't even afford a steel Rolex yet!

Watchstudent, I would love to have an ALS, I have looked at them, but case size is sort of important to me. I have a 9 1/4" wrist and anything less than 40mm is just too small. My Daytona looks tiny, the GMT with the larger lugs looks ok, the DSSD is the perfect size for my wrist. I am really interested in the new Patek 5960/1A-001, I need to see one in person. I do not like the high polished bracelet, but a nice alligator strap may work. It is 40.5 mm.

Keep the GMT since its your daily wearer and go either WG/YG Sub or WG/YG Daytona.

I would keep at least one SS piece (the one you wear/enjoy most) out of the three and flip the other two for an upgrade to a PM piece.

I have had three SS models for a long time and love the diversity and feeling I get being able to have 3 options on what watch to wear every morning, I value that a lot. By mid-day if I'm feeling adventurous, I might even switch it up and wear one of the other two Rolexes I have :) Don't know if I could just have 1 watch, but just my 2cents.

I'd say keep the Daytona as your daily and flip the other two for the new Pepsi. The Pepsi GMT looks too similar to the others IMO.
