I can only guess it was an AD near you?
As others have said, it is pure bull.

Being generous, I might say it is a misinformed newbie sales rep...if I was less generous, a poor attempt to rope you into a deal then and there. This type of behavior exists in other sales lines, too. But what to do?

It won't get better for the next customer unless we take action to correct the problem.

Now the ball's in your court - let the AD's manager know. If you don't want to be ID'd as the source, then a simple letter in old fashioned snail mail?
