Help with my next 5 year watch plan.
I currently have a ss justdate 1970 vintage from my father, a blusey TT sub, and a GMT coke.
My wish list for the next 5 years. I plan to get a white dial WG Daytona and YG white dial president and minor watch along they way. The question is which one should I get first. My thought is that I should get the Daytona first because a old guy can always wear a president. |

I think the Daytona makes sense, I think Seth was having a dig at your reference of justdate not datejust...... Your next two watches are both great choices. Enjoy.

I'm embarrassed to say I actually Googled "Justdate" in case it was some rare 70s line of Rolex with date display...

Don't be offended if I quoted just you. I can't quote everyone who reference to my Justdate. Give me a break I am English is my second language haha. Perhaps in my language it is Justdate. Or perhaps I am a firm believer in the 80/20 rule. Only 20% of the things really matter. And forgetting whether the name of you watch is justdate or datejust does not matter. |

Just cut to the chase and buy the DD and you'll have a watch that you can wear till doomsday.

For the price of the WG Daytona and the DD, I'd much rather buy a single watch, the Platona. And when you're talking about 2 gold watches, I find it odd that you would want a 3rd "minor watch". What's the point in such a trio? :)
And BTW, 5 years is a very long time in such a world that we currently live in. Could you predict all the crazy s* happened in 2014 just 2 years ago? My 5 year plan includes getting a Platona, a Royal Oak 15202ST or 25820ST, and a Patek 3970J. I'm pretty sure the next 5 years will turn out absolutely not how I imagine it right now, and I'm fairly certain that that list will go down the toilet in one way or another. It (I mean my list) is quite ambitious, so even reaching 1/3 of it would be enough for a guy like me

I think you might have a white president just any date in the US now. I'm personally not too fond of day-time tuna in a sub, though TT (a nice Swedish beer) or a Coke is always something i appreciate
No but seriously, get the Daytona first as supplement to your datejust! |
