Polished bracelet on a Bluesy

I would like your opinion. I love bright steel next to 14K, so I painstakingly polished the bracelet of my bluesy. I absolutely love the way it looks and wouldn't re-brush it, but I humbly respect the opinion of TRF members, and would like to know what you think. Please forgive the horrendous quality of the photo, my camera is but a toy...
Cheers!

I think what matter is that you like it. I've considered it and wondered what it would look like but I think I like mine just the way it is. Do you have some better shots? Thanks for sharing.

Hey Ron,
I'm going to borrow a friend's (way nicer) camera and try to get some better shots. The one I posted really doesn't do justice to the careful job I did polishing my watch, and how really nice it looks. I'll try more photos.
Cheers!

To each his own, but I like to keep the design of Rolex watches original.

Can't see all that much but....From waht I can see it looks a bit odd without the polished case(lugs). Just my opinion though and i'm all for wearing what you like.

Whatever makes you happy is what counts, and I can certainly respect that. Personally, I like Rolex in its original form, without any deviation from what Rolex intended it to be.

Well, except for one of my wife's Lady DJ's, with an aftermarket diamond bezel. BUT, that's what makes her happy.

X2! I like to keep my stuff OEM but that's mostly because I don't trust myself to not screw things up. It looks pretty nice but if you decide you don't like it the worst case scenario would be to get a new watch band or bracelet.

Thanks guys. I have seen many posts here where members skillfully photoshop changes to OEM watches that they feel would make the product more appealing to them. Polishing out the bracelet was something that, after consultation with my AD, I felt I could do myself, and would make this already gorgeous watch a bit more to my liking. I know it's not for everyone, but I'm very pleased with the resuilts and other Rolex owners have noticed and expressed admiration. Thanks for your insights.
Cheers!

Not sure I would but it's your watch and your right to be happy [or at least your right to pursue happiness].

As long as you like it thats the main thing. i'm the type of person that likes the watch the way the manufacturer intended.

If u change yur mind just send it to Rolex. They will automatically rebrush it if you send it in for an overhaul. Ive seen that happen to some jobs at my store.

I think you should polish the case aswell- it would make it look more symmetrical

A member here posted pics of a GMT IIc bracelet where he had brushed out the center links so if you decide to go back to original I think you could carefully do it yourself. It's your watch and whatever makes you happy. I would like to see a better pic.

I think you should be able to do anything to your watch you want. After all, you paid the money. I'd never buy it, want it or wear it, tho. Like 90% of all the photoshopped "improvements" on Rolex designs, a big

First post here so hey to everyone. I know what the OP means by wanting to polish the bracelet. Here is a pic of my '73 DJ, the case was previously polished when I received it and I had to pick up a new band for it. So I spent 20hrs detail polishing every single link in the Jubilee band so it would match the case. It takes quite a bit of work to polish out the brushed finish. I like it but don't think I would do it to a watch that had a brushed case. Thanks, Wj

Camera was slightly low and left is why date window doesn't look right.

Back in 2004 I polished the bracelet and case lugs of my first TT blue sub
I just found the pics at newturfers
JJ was a member back then and he might remember my post

Notice that the dial was indeed darker than the one on the current blue subs
A month later I regreted it and went back to the brushed look
I wish I had it...a watch of many good and bad memories
